That is why it will defy any challenge, regardless of thermal, mechanical and chemical loading. Your specific needs will lead to completely new cable designs – resistant and accurately fitting.

Chemical requirements
Special cables’ thick skins protect them from chemical harm. Insulation technology is one of the major strengths of Hradil’s materials research team.
WatertightNo matter whether salt or fresh water: Hradil Special cables can be used wherever water is involved. An example of this is the Commander 2 deep-sea robot. It would not be able to operate properly without our cable concept, with expanding materials providing buoyancy and with its special coating.
Resistant to UV, oil and acidsThe latest polyester-based plastics provide reliable protection against chemical substances, so Hradil have opted for the chemical resistance provided by TPE-E, along with many other materials. -
Thermal requirements
Our careful selection of braiding, banding and insulating materials make our cable designs resistant to thermal stress.
Resistant to heat and cold
We use intelligent materials to combat temperature extremes, from up to + 95°C and down to a frigid -180°C. Cable jackets made of PUR will withstand practically any temperature. With the aid of pure nickel conductors, temperatures as high as 500°C are no problem. Quartz and silica taping makes electric cables flame-resistant and heat-resistant to over 1100°C.
Self-extinguishing
Adding chlorine, fluorine and bromine flame retardants ensures the cables are flame resistant and self-extinguishing. But since toxic substances might be released in the event of a fire, we can also recommend special halogen-free cables - CERAMOFLEX® cables, for example.

Mechanical requirements
Flexibility counts above all in automation and robotics. Connector cables have to accompany every movement. Thanks to their special design consisting of litz wire, shielding, banding, braiding, and stranding, our heavy-duty cables are ready to deal with all kinds of mechanical stress.
High tensile and torsion strength
Longitudinal stretch can quickly reveal the limitations of standard cables. Special cables, on the other hand, can withstand torsion loads of up to 320 degrees. The right cable design will ensure high tensile strength –with Kevlar braiding for extra support, for example.
Bending cycles
Mechanical movement can easily cause the outer cable layer to stretch and the cable core to buckle. Thanks to their design and the special materials used, Special cables will withstand over 25 million bending cycles.
Electromagnetically compatible
Our innovative shielding technology ensures the security of power, signal and data transmission
Abrasion-proof
We deal with tough environments by using abrasion-proof and notch-resistant cable jackets. PUR is a particularly suitable material for this purpose.
