Hradil special-design cables for sewer rehabilitation robots
Hradil Spezialkabel is expanding its range of lines designed to serve sewer rehabilitation robots. Two Special hybrid lines, integrating PUR hoses, are being introduced. They match PMO and KA-TE robots.

The central design element in each of the new HRADIL Special hybrid lines intended to serve PMO and KA-TE rehabilitation robots is a PUR hose, measuring 5.7 × 8 and 6 × 8 mm respectively. This hose delivers compressed air to the rehabilitation robot. To supply operating energy and drive LEDs and sensors the PMO line incorporates nineteen signal and data conductors: one 0.5 mm² twisted pair and seventeen 0.75 mm² conductors. The new KA-TE line comprises a total of twelve signal and data conductors. These include one 0.6 mm² twisted pair and ten single conductors of 1.0 mm².
Modern stranding technologies, an open KEVLAR weave for tension relief and a rugged outer jacket make this new hose a survival artist underground. Used as the outer jacket is a wear-resistant TPE-U (11Y) compound. It is molded permanently into the mesh. Despite the overall diameters of the PMO version at 17.3 mm and the KA-TE line at 16.2 mm they are both enormously flexible and can be wound up on reels. The minimum reel diameter for both cables is 340 mm. Both versions are resistant to oil and gasoline, coolants and lubricants. They are suited for use outdoors as they withstand the effects of both ozone and ultraviolet light.
